Porto

I have spent the last couple nights in Porto. I think I liked Lisbon better. Porto seems to be quite poor in most places.

I spent yesterday going to 3 different port wine cellars. They all had tours and tastings. I think I can now safely say that I don't like port. I tried 11 different types of port and I didn't really like any of them. The most bearable one was the only one I paid for which was a glass of 1982 vintage Kohn port.

I'm heading to San Sebastian today. I don't have anywhere to stay, but I think I will be arriving from a night train, so I should have lots of time to look for a place.

I don't care much for Port either but your father more than makes up for the fact that I don't drink it. Where is San Sebastien? Couldn't find it in our measily National Geographic atlas. I talked to Katie Munro today. She is back in Victoria, safe and sound. Are you still having fun with your camera? I can hardly wait to see your pictures.

I myself do not like Port either. But my Dad LOVES it. Growing up in a portuguese family and not liking Port is difficult, too. Relatives always try to force me to drink it and when I refuse I think they suspect my parents brought me up poorly because I don't drink.

San Sebastian is on the coast of Spain near the border to France. I'm taking photos when I can, but I think that a lot of them will be kind of boring because there aren't many people in them.
