Whoever said school was cool..

I'm 1/3 of the way through my midterm triple header. I had CSC405 this morning, I have SENG462 tomorrow morning and CSC350 on Wednesday.

I've got to say, 6 courses is all the pain I thought it would be and more.

I just realized why exams are so horribly demotivating. If I get an assignment, I spend a bunch of time on it and eventually, it's done. You might as well just work hard on it and get it done. Exams are not like this. When an exam is coming up, nothing can free you from its grip. Every moment is a moment that you could have been studying. The problem is that this kills my productivity. If I study my ass off for an afternoon, the studying isn't done.

Basically, what ends up happening is that I spend 100% of my time operating at 20% efficiency. The solution seems to be study hard for a while and then just forget about it, but that's easier said than done.

I should get back to studying now.

Weekend Update with David Frey

I went to my girlfriend Lauren's graduation a few days ago and it has got me thinking about my own graduation. It's still over eight months away, but I don't really have any plans after that, so it's a little bit frightening.

I'll probably end up going travelling. I haven't been on any interesting adventures in a long time.

I must get back to the grind now or I will never see graduation at all.
